June Favourites

July is finally here which means we’re halfway through the year and I’ll soon hop on a plane and head to Indonesia to see my best friend getting married (oh the feels!). As I haven’t done a Favourites post in a while I thought I’d do one for the month of June. There’re a few fashion and beauty items, and I’ve also thrown in my current favourite tunes for good measure, because in all honesty – where would my day be without some music? So without further ado, here are my June Favourites!

NisaSuede Tortoise Shell Ankle Boots and Burnt Orange Crossbody bag

I’m a massive shoe-girl. I feel they are the easiest and fastest way to dress up or down your look. So although being a shoe-hoarder isn’t such a great thing (I will get better I promise…), it does serve its purpose.
This month I’ve been loving these boots from ASOS because of the amazing tortoise shell heel – not to mention they’re super comfortable. Although it’s supposed to be summer here in London, the weather is always so unpredictable, and wearing ankle boots are your safest bet. I love pairing them with jeans or a simple black slip.

As for the bag, I’ve been mostly wearing this burnt orange and burgundy cross body piece from Zara. It’s great as it’s super versatile and dresses up even the most casual outfits. I love the colour blocking and different textures, also perfect for Autumn, which is not too far away (how depressing!)

Another favourite from June is this wraparound choker from Me & Zena which says ‘Earth is not my home’. I love the words, it’s right up my alley. This can also be worn as a bracelet.

It’s all about the oils as this month I’ve been loving the Jasmine Body Oil by Herbivore Botanicals as well as the Jasmine and Green tea Body Oil by Baija Paris. Both have the most delicate and elegant scent that just lingers on the skin without being overpowering. I find that using body oils is really therapeutic, for both mind and body, so if you’re looking for a body oil, I would highly recommend both. Herbivore creates safe, non-toxic products, they also have a great range and you’re bound to find something you like.

The next product has been crucial to my beauty regime for the last year, that I feel it merits a shout-out, and it’s the Pixi Glow Tonic. It’s a great toner that exfoliates your skin and helps tighten the skin. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a toner.
The last beauty item is the 1995 liquid lipstick by Gerard Cosmetics. This has been my go-to colour for almost every day of June. It’s the perfect brown with a hint of mauve that looks super flattering on any skin tone.

TV Shows: This season’s Game of Thrones has been my absolute favourite. I’m having major withdrawals now that the season is over, and am definitely not looking forward to waiting a year for the next season, so in the meantime, we’ve been rewatching Lost, another favourite.

Music: Each month I’d find three or four new music that I listen to on repeat, and they end up becoming the ‘official’ soundtrack of the month. This month’s is:
U by Mikki Ekko
Fingertips by Leo Kalyan
Ready Set Go by Bungalow
Can’t Let You Go
by Elliot Burg

xSelf Portrait

Lust: Currently lusting over Self Portrait dresses, but they’re definitely not cheap. If anyone wants to get me an early birthday present, I’m a size 8. Just joking… but feel free to take it seriously – haha.

So that’s it for my June Favourites with an extra lust list. By the time you read this I’ll be up in the air on my way to Yogyakarta – so excited! I hope you’re all having an amazing summer day, til next time!

Lots of love,
