I’ve read glowing reviews about Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and couldn’t wait to give it a try, here’s why.
Growing up, I thought the feeling of tight skin after washing your face was completely normal, especially because of my oily skin. I assumed that the feeling was due to the cleanser doing its job, but I was totally mistaken.
I’ve now learnt that the feeling is due to the fact that your skin’s natural moisturiser is being absorbed and taken away by the soap – not a great thing as your skin most definitely needs moisture!
Since then my quest to find the perfect cleanser hasn’t yielded much result, that is until I stumbled upon the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. I got interested in trying it out once I heard my sister raving about it.
A little background info, my skin is oily, acne prone and a little bit sensitive. After reading the product description online, I decided to give it a shot.
Here’s what it said on their website about the cleanser:
- Suitable for all skin types
- Ideal for both face and body
- Works without causing skin irritation
- pH-balanced non-soap formulation
- Can be used with or without water
After trying it out for several weeks I have to say I’m super impressed! My favourite way to use this cleanser is with water. Like any other cleanser, I apply the product all over my face in circular motion, before rinsing everything off. Right off the bat, my skin felt super soft and smooth, and for once – no tightness. It’ s also great that you have the option to use this cleanser without water.
Final thoughts, I’ve now used this product for a month and can definitely see a change in my skin. My face feels super hydrated and the skin looks healthier – nothing miraculous like my skin becoming flawless overnight, but seeing as I came into this wanting to improve the quality of my skin, I’d say this is a big win.
I also love how versatile and practical this product is. Seeing as I travel a lot, this saves a lot of space as I can use it to cleanse my face or even wash my entire body.
If you live in Indonesia, you can find Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser at Watson, Guardian, Century, Foodhall and other drugstores. In London you can get this in Boots or Superdrug. Regarding my oily skin, I’ve noticed that Cetaphil also has an oily skin cleanser, which is definitely next on my list once I finish this trusted bottle.
